Martine Rothblatt is the chairman and co-CEO of United Therapeutics and President and CEO of its lung biotechnology public benefit company. Due to the lack of available organs for transplants, she is working on genetically modifying pig organs for human use. She previously created and led Sirius XM as its chairman and CEO, after launching satellite navigation and international satellite television systems. Her patented inventions are in satellite communications, pharmaceuticals and cognitive software. Rothblatt’s recent books, “Your Life or Mine” and “Virtually Human”, are on manufactured organs and cyber ethics, respectively.
