Hammerhead Shark
Family – Sphyrnidae, 7 spp
Status: endangered
Size: between 13 and 20 feet.
Weight: between 500 and 1,000 pounds.
The position of its eyes gives it greater range of vision, and the shape of its head gives it an advantage in sensing electromagnetic fields. These features make it a more efficient predator.
