Angélica Fuentes Foundation

Angélica is one of the most prominent philanthropists and business women in Latin America. In the past 26 years, she has been involved with NGOs, international organizations and professional groups that support women’s causes.

She currently co-directs the Mexico Gender Parity Taskforce, an initiative of the World Economic Forum. She is also a member of the International Council on Women’s Business Leadership, a council created by Hillary Clinton, and a global advocate for the Girl Up Campaign, a program of the United Nations Foundation.

She was the first CEO to whom the UN Women awarded the Business Leadership Award for promoting gender equality and the principles for the empowerment of women in the private sector. Angélica is also a member of the Leadership Advisory Council of the Private Sector for UN Women. In 2014, she established the Angelica Fuentes Foundation, a philanthropic culmination of her lifelong commitment to women’s causes.
